Drag Artist Instructor
Drag is Art is looking for 10 experienced local drag artists who are interested in teaching. These instructional videos will live online as a resource and online course for drag artist professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- You’ll be asked to record ~90 minutes of video footage teaching various topics.
- You’ll submit the video(s) to our instructional designer who will edit videos into 10-20 minute segments.
Experience & Skills Required
- Lived experience as a drag artist or a related field.
- Experience with the skill topic for which you are applying.
- Local artist who is resident of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Compensation
Artists will receive an honourarium of $200 for their work recording this video.

Social Media Marketing Intern
DRAGis.ART is looking for a creative and driven Social Media Intern to help manage our social media accounts, create engaging content, and collaborate on a social media strategy with our Creative Director. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your portfolio, gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, and be part of a vibrant arts community.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage DRAGis.ART’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) by posting regularly and engaging with followers.
- Collaborate with the Creative Director to develop a cohesive social media strategy that reflects our brand and mission.
- Create visually engaging and relevant content (graphics, videos, photos) to promote our events, programs, and community.
- Monitor social media trends and analyze the performance of posts to improve engagement.
- Assist with the promotion of upcoming events and initiatives through targeted social media campaigns.
- Respond to messages, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner.
Experience & Skills Required
- Knowledge of major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and current trends.
- Basic design skills (using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) and the ability to create eye-catching visuals.
- Strong communication skills and creativity in content creation.
- Ability to collaborate on strategy and take initiative on content ideas.
- Passion for the drag community and the arts is a plus!
Time Commitment
Flexible hours, approximately 5 hours per month, with a focus on maintaining a consistent posting schedule.

Volunteer Coordinator
DRAGis.ART is seeking a dedicated and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team and help manage our vibrant community of volunteers. As the Volunteer Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our events and programs run smoothly by coordinating volunteer efforts and creating an inclusive, positive experience for all participants.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers for events, workshops, and special projects.
- Communicate with volunteers to confirm assignments, provide necessary instructions, and answer questions.
- Ensure volunteers are trained and prepared for their roles.
- Track volunteer hours and maintain accurate records of participation.
- Collaborate with the DRAGis.ART team to assess volunteer needs and adjust plans as required.
- Foster a welcoming, supportive environment for all volunteers.
Experience & Skills Required
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience in volunteer coordination, event management, or community engagement is an asset.
- Passion for supporting the arts and drag community.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Time Commitment
This opportunity is flexible, and you should be able to commit 5 hours a month.
